Born in Belo Horizonte – MG – Brazil, Lumineiro is interested in high human technology. Living in Belgium since 2021, he is an active musician, circus and cabaret performer, working solo and in groups. Beyond his stage career, Lumi also writes poetry and music, acts as a creative director and is a regular member of Clowns Without Borders in Belgium.
A versatile artist, Lumineiro started his performing career as a juggler, specializing in cigarboxes juggling. His solo show “Tudo se Encaixa” has been performed througout the globe and won his first award at the São Paulo Circus Festival in 2018.
From the circus performance, he started his music career in drums and washboard, being one of the founders of the brazilian band Mustache & Os Apaches. With three albums recorded, they toured Brazil, Germany, Belgium, France, England, Istanbul, Portugal and the Czech Republic. Their songs have been soundtracked in soap operas, TV series and movies.
Moving to Belgium to pursue his stage career in 2021, Lumineiro is now part of Cie. Balltazar, a circus performance group with shows all over Europe. He is also a founding member of Bohéme Sauvage’s official band, Let’s Misbehave, based in Berlin, and Nice e os Gonçalves, based in Brazil.
